The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter, Vol. 2

William Harvey discovered the circulatory system in 1616.

"It must therefore be concluded,” he wrote, “that the blood in the animal body moves around in a circle continuously, and that the actions or function of the heart is to accomplish this by pumping. This is the only reason for the motion and beat of the heart.”

After his discovery his own medical practice rapidly fell off due to the fact that potential patients thought he was crazy.

  1. "Animal action circles hearts / moves bloody bodies."

  2. Well that is just crazy talk, in my book.
